      Bio: Ravi is Founder and Chairman of Choice Solutions Corporation whose first operating company is Choice Solar India which address the distribution of consumer solar solutions for people living with little to no access to electricity in India.

      He is Chair of the Clean Energy Special Interest Group in Oregon for tie (www.oregon.tie.org) which provides mentorship to Clean Energy entrepreneurs. Ravi enjoys new market development, identifying opportunities, recruiting teams and translating needs into products and services thus becoming new businesses in both independent entrepreneurial and corporate settings. He has been CEO of companies in diverse fields. As an independent he led the turnaround of a nearly bankrupt publicly traded company which was later sold for $250 Million. Within HP he was a founding team member of a new business which grew rapidly and became highly profitable. Mr. Sinha started his career as a semiconductor process engineer in Hewlett Packard and progressed to marketing, strategic alliance development, equity investment due diligence, and managing off-shore integrated circuit manufacturing operations in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He mentors and advises entrepreneurs and has served/serves on the Boards of several companies. Ravi has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He lives in Portland and enjoys cycling, swimming, and numerous other outdoor activities.

      Bio: Steve Davis focuses his practice on business transactions and assisting public companies with their reporting obligations. He regularly represents public and privately held companies and investors in securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. Practice Highlights Financings: represented several startup companies, including an optical component manufacturer, a power converter manufacturer and a software company, in Series A and Series B preferred stock financings; convertible note, warrant and Series C preferred stock financings; convertible promissory note bridge financings; and a recapitalization and financing.

      Represented a venture capital firm in its investment in a semiconductor manufacturer in Series B preferred stock financing. Mergers and acquisitions: represented a publicly held biopharmaceutical company in its acquisition of a privately held biopharmaceutical company and a& startup power-converter manufacturer in its acquisition by a power management solutions provider. Public company reporting and counseling: advised a biopharmaceutical company and assisted a semiconductor manufacturer on preparation of company periodic reports on Form 10-K and Form 10-Q, annual proxy statements and other SEC filings.

1. Friday night pitch format is 90 seconds – start with the problem, identify your solution, express the needs you see to accomplish the solution. There is no projector for this, only a mic and 90 seconds! Good outline and info here for First Timers.

(remember, you do not have to pitch an idea, generally only 25% of people in every event do!
